Abbreviations:

R= round

mr = magic ring

sc = single crochet

inc = increase (2 sc in the next stitch)

dec = decrease (join the next 2 stitches into 1)

sl st = slip stitch

st = stitch

ch = chain

dc = double crochet

tr = treble crochet

hdc = half double crochet

FO = finish off

BLO = back loop only

FLO = front loop only

[ ] = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row

( ) x 6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated

To crochet a little amigurumi frog you need:

– Yarn: green and yellow

– Crochet hook

– Fiberfill for stuffing

– Sewing needle and scissors

Body

Start with green yarn

FO. Stuff with fiberfill. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Ears (make 2)

Start with green yarn

Hands (make 4)

Start with green yarn

Make 2 chains. From the 2nd ch from hook crochet hdc.

Belly  

Start with yellow yarn

FO. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Assembly:

– Sew the belly onto the main body

– Glue eyes onto the crocheted eye parts (or you can use black felt instead)

– Sew all of the frog’s parts together as in the example shown.

– Embroider has a cute tiny mouth above the belly.
