Abbreviations:

R = round

mr = magic ring

sc = single crochet

inc = increase (2 sc in the next stitch)

dec = decrease (join the next 2 stitches into 1)

sl st = slip stitch

st = stitch

ch = chain

dc = double crochet

tr = treble crochet

hdc = half double crochet

BLO = back loop only

FLO = front loop only

FO = finish off

[ ] = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row

( ) x 6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated

Start with pink yarn

R 3: (2 sc, inc) x 3 [12]

Stuff with fiberfill. Cut yarn and hide the tail.

Leg 2

Make the other leg, don’t cut the yarn. Join leg 1 with sl st.

R 5: 15 sc (leg 1), 15 sc (leg 2) [30]

Continue to crochet the body using the stitches of both legs.

Start with blue yarn

R 6: (4 sc, inc) x 6    [36]
R 7-12: 36 sc (6 rounds) [36]

R 3: 1 ch, 1sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, (2dc-inc) x 8, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, turn [22]

R 4: 1 ch, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 3 tr, (2tr-inc) x 6, 3 tr, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc      [28]

Note:

 2hdc-inc: 2 hdc in the next stitch

2dc-inc: 2 dc in the next stitch

2tr-inc: 2 tr in the next stitch

Make  2 pieces of pink color yarn first, and cut the yarn. Make 2 same pieces of gray color yarn but do not cut the yarn, put the pink piece above the gray piece and connect them together by crocheting sc across 2 pieces with gray color yarn.

Trunk

Start with gray color

R 1: 7 sc in mr [6]
R 2-8: 7 sc (7 rounds) [7]

Arms (make 2)

Start with pink  yarn

R 1: 6 sc in mr [6]
R 2: (1 sc, inc) x 3 [9]
Change to gray yarn
R 3-7: 9 sc  (5 rounds) [9]
R 8: 7 sc, dec [8]
R 9: 6 sc, dec [7]
R 10: 5 sc, dec [6]

Sl st. Stuff with some fiberfill. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Tail

Start with gray yarn

R 1: mr with 6 st    [6]
R 2: (1 sc, inc) x 3 [9]
R 3-6: 9 sc [9]

Assembly:

–  Embroider has two eyes, a nose, and brows on the head (like the picture). The noise should be centered between the eyes.

–  Pin the ears to the head, then sew them on.

– Pin the arms to the body, then sew them on.

–  Sew the head to the body
