Abbreviations:

R = round

mr = magic ring

sc = single crochet

inc = increase (2 sc in the next stitch)

dec = decrease (join the next 2 stitches into 1)

sl st = slip stitch

st = stitch

FO = finish off

[ ] = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row

( ) x 6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated

To crochet apple amigurumi you need:

– Yarn (4 ply): orange, brown, and green color yarn.

– Crochet hook: 4-5mm

– Fiberfill for stuffing

– Sewing needle, scissors

R 3: (1 sc, inc ) x 6	[18]
R 4: (1 sc, inc , 1 sc) x 6	[24]
R 5: (3 sc, inc ) x 6	[30]
R 6: (2 sc, inc , 2 sc) x 6	[36]
R 7: (5 sc, inc ) x 6	[42]
R 8-12: 42 sc (5 R)	[42]
R 13: (5 sc, inc ) x 6	[36]
R 14: (2 sc, dec, 2 sc) x 6	[30]
R 15: (3 sc, dec) x 6	[24]
R 16: (1 sc, dec, 1 sc) x 6	[18]
R 17: (1 sc, dec) x 6	[12]
R 18: dec x 6	[6]

Cut yarn and hide the tail.

Stem

Start with brown yarn

Make 9 chains. Start 2nd chain, make 8 sc.

Cut yarn and leave a long tail for sewing.

Leaf

Start with green yarn

Make 5 chains. Turn. Start 2nd chain, make ( 1 hdc, hdc2tog, 1 hdc, 3 sc). Continue crochet other side of the foudation chain (1 hdc, hdc*2, 1 hdc, 3 sc).

Note: hdc2tog = 2hdc-dec = decrease 2 stitches (join the next 2 stitches into 1)

Cut yarn and leave a long tail for sewing.
