R = round

mr = magic ring

sc = single crochet

inc = increase (2 sc in the next stitch)

dec = decrease (join the next 2 stitches into 1)

sl st = slip stitch

st = stitch

ch = chain

FO = Fasten off/finish off

[ ] = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row

( ) x 6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated

To crochet an amigurumi Octavius you need the following:

– Yarn (2.5mm): yellow, white, brown, dark green, peach, red, black

– 3.0 mm crochet hook

– Size eyes: 8mm

– Fiberfill for stuffing

– Sewing needle and scissors

Insert the eyes between rounds 7 8, and 6 sts apart
Change to yellow yarn
R 13-17: 42 sc (5 rounds) [42]
Change to brown yarn
R 18-19: 42 sc (2 rounds) [42]
R 20: (5 sc, dec) x 6 [36]
R 21: (4 sc, dec) x 6 [30]
R 22: (3 sc, dec) x 6 [24]
R 23: (1 sc, dec) x 8 [16]
R 24: dec x 8 [8]

Stuff with fiberfill. Cut the yarn, and hide the tail.

Put the inner ear on the outer ear (wrong side to the wrong side) and crochet through the stitches of both parts around:
